EV purchase rebates in Canada
The federal government relaunched its incentive in February 2026 as the Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP). Most provincial rebates have wound down since 2024; a handful still stack on top. Amounts below are read daily from the official government pages.
Provincial and territorial rebates
| Province | BEV | PHEV | Used | Price cap | Status | Stacked max |
|---|
How to read this
- Stacked max is the federal amount for your vehicle type plus the provincial amount, assuming you qualify for both (each program has its own price cap and conditions).
- EVAP amounts step down each year and each person can claim it once for the whole program; the year that counts is when the dealer submits the eligibility assessment.
- Home-charger rebates, where a province has one, are shown in the row details.
