EV perks in New Brunswick (2026)

Purchase rebates
The federal EVAP incentive gives $5,000 on a new battery EV and $2,500 on a plug-in hybrid, until March 31, 2031 or while funds last ($50,000 final transaction value price cap). New Brunswick's own rebate (Plug-In NB) has ended (July 1, 2025), so the federal amount is the total.

Electricity rates for charging
NB Power's default residential plan, Residential service (urban), charges 15.84¢/kWh (energy only). There is no EV or overnight plan, so 15.84¢/kWh is what home charging costs. Rates effective April 14, 2026.
Annual EV fee
New Brunswick charges no annual EV fee.
