EV perks in Saskatchewan (2026)

Purchase rebates
The federal EVAP incentive gives $5,000 on a new battery EV and $2,500 on a plug-in hybrid, until March 31, 2031 or while funds last ($50,000 final transaction value price cap). Saskatchewan has no provincial purchase rebate, so the federal amount is the total.

HOV lanes, tolls and road perks
No EV-specific road privileges. Saskatchewan charges a $300 annual EV road-use charge (see fees below).
Electricity rates for charging
SaskPower's default residential plan, Residential energy charge, charges 15.48¢/kWh (energy only). There is no EV or overnight plan, so 15.48¢/kWh is what home charging costs. Rates effective February 1, 2026.
Annual EV fee
Saskatchewan charges $300 a year on battery EVs at registration, since October 1, 2021. Passenger electric vehicles registered in Saskatchewan. Hybrids and plug-in hybrids are not charged.
